Feedback
from Customers
Here's a partial collection of feedback
I've received.
This should give you some reassurance, if you are the kind
of person who believes these feedback things. Personally I am
generally sceptical when I see this stuff myself, and
usually reckon a lot of it is just made
up by the person selling the product. But
honestly, all this
feedback is genuine.
I also sell some Snorer's
Friends® on Ebay, you can check my Ebay feedback
here.
I'm a bit behind in this! I've made a small start
but I've still got a pile of emails in my inbox that I
will copy to here. Hopefully I'll catch up soon. Thanks everyone for
your lovely feedback, it will appear here very soon I
promise! I really appreciate you taking the time
to write to me about your successes.

Hi Andrea,
Thank you so much
for my Snorer's
Friend. Hubby tells
me that I haven't
snored at all since
wearing it. I'm
stoked as I use to
get quite annoyed
with myself waking
to find him sleeping
in another room away
from me!!
I'm very happy.
Thanks again.

Hi Andrea
It has certainly made a
huge difference to my
sleeping habits.
I have used both the
devices and may soon
need a third. (I grind)
When I can keep the
thing in my mouth it
completely stops my
snoring and
It sometimes falls out
and sometimes I
inadvertantly remove it
in my sleep
but generally it stays
put (perhaps 4 out of
every 5 nights I get
perfect
And what a joy that
sleep is. I had
completely forgotten
what it was like
to fall asleep and then
wake in the morning.
The first couple of
times were
a little unsettling as I
could not quite
reconcile the elapsed
time and felt
Now I look forward to my
nights sleep and have
stopped taking naps
during
the day. I wake
refreshed and energised
and ready to tackle my
day (I'm a [...]
teacher)
Most importantly my
partner and I are again
on friendly terms
sharing a bed.
The distress the problem
causes to both the
snorer and the partner
are
significant and it had
become a very
contentious issue for
us. Seperate
beds (or even bedrooms)
was looking likely. I
had tried pillows and
neck
cushions and nasal
clearing techniques to
no avail.
The MAD worked from the
very first night. I
think it is saving my
grinding
I am now considering a
fitted device which may
only offer a slight
improvement at a much
greater cost but my
experience suggests it
would be
worth it. I would not
have even considered
that step if I had not
had such
success with this very
inexpensive device from
the start.

Andrea - I received my
Snorer's Friend on Wednesday

immediate benefit that

something has finally helped
eliminate 'Dad's snoring'!
I've already recommended you

friends and hope they too
benefit from your device.
Thanks for a great

G'Day Andrea
Some feedback FYI several weeks
down the track after extensive field testing
The first couple of attempts with
shaping the SF to my mouth didn't work well
which was put down to a learning curve.
The second SF that you kindly
enclosed was however then fitted successfully
and has worked well ever since!
I have therefore drafted the
following theorem
[...]'s THEOREM:
Over 50 + overweight +
overindulgence on red wine = snoring + disrupted
sleep for spouse
Over 50 + overweight +
overindulgence on red wine + Snorer's Friend =
no more snoring + uninterrupted sleep for spouse
Therefore Snorer's Friend =
Spouse's new best friend!
Cheers
-Greg

Hi Andrea
I have had my Snorers Friend now for
over a week - it is fantastic - I
have
stopped snoring, have a great night
sleep and feel refreshed the next
day. I
think that I clenched my teeth
rather than grind them and my
Snorers Friend
has helped to stop this. I also do
not wake up with a headache which I
so
often did before using my Snorers
Friend. Last night I went to bed and
had
left my Snorers Friend in the
bathroom after cleaning it. I was
too tired to
go in to get it, and snored, had a
restless night and woke up with a
headache.
I had recommended your product to so
many friends and thank you so much -
my
fiance Peter thanks you too as he
now gets a great night sleep as
well!!
Have a Great Day

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for your email yesterday. Alfred has
asked me to contact you as he has gone to work
early. He very much appreciated what you said in
your email and we are both blown away by your
service. We had great success with the device
last night. We altered it to make Alfred's jaw
come out a little more and he was the quietest
last night when he slept that I have ever known
him to be. I actually thought that he was awake
most of the night but he said no that he had
quite a deep sleep. He felt very refreshed this
morning. He said that the device was very
comfortable and that it didn't slip out.
Once again, thank you very much.
We will keep you updated as to how things
progress.
Kind regards,
Lyndall

Dear Scott,
I just had to write and thank you for your wonderful
product.
I was ready to go and have the [Registered
trademark deleted] mouthguard made
up by a dentist, at a cost of approximately $1600 before
any claim from private health insurance was made. And
then I was only likely to get back about $700. So you
have saved me a lot of money.
I took my partner to the doctor so we could discuss
having the mouthguard made up for him and he said wait.
He called in one of his partners and his partner said he
has this device – your device.
All I can say is THANK YOU!!!!!! It is the first time
my partner and I have slept together ALL NIGHT for 3
months. And I enjoyed every minute of it. He didn't
snore not even once. And let me tell you he was BAD.
He was so loud the kids and I could hear him in other
rooms of the house even when the doors were closed.
Last night was the first night of hopefully many more
good nights sleep.
You're a genius! There is nothing worse than sleep
deprivation.

From day one it worked-my husband is very pleased with
the lack of snoring !
Sometimes a little snore gets through after a red wine
-but that is of no consequince.
I was a bit scheptacle as I had tried many snoring
"cures" they failed
But yours works

Thank you for the very prompt and efficient
service as promised on your web-site.
Mouth piece fitted and adjusted okay - good
instructions.
Went to bed in great anticipation although
somewhat dubious if I am perfectly honest (even though I had spent
about 18 hours researching snoring and how mandibular devices can cure it)
however, I think I had one of the best nights sleeps I have had for a long
time.
Proof of the test.............
Mrs P say's that on a scale of 1-10 my
original snoring was about 635 which was backed up by my neighbour three doors
down and he has the added advantage of being 100 meters away!!
With the snorers mate......Mrs P reckons
it's now about a 2.
So that for me is classified as a success
and the bruises in the ribs have started to disappear already!!
Thanks for the product and the prompt
efficient service.

I had a great nights sleep last night- 8 hours -
and after a prostate cancer
op. last year, no trips to the bathroom
throughout the night- amazing. I
hope it continues. No obvious after effects so
far but will keep you posted.
Many thanks for such a brilliant invention and
one which makes complete
sense as it is a similar principle to my work as
a leading authority world
wide on vocal coaching for actors and singers,
where we are always trying to
get them to bring the lower jaw slightly forward
to open up the sound in the
pharynx and let resonance up into the nasal
passages. The two natural
underbiters are of course Dame Joan Sutherland
and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa,
which is why they have/had such huge operatic
voices.

Like many on the
feedback page, thanks!
Like many on the
feedback page, thanks!
The first night I
used the device it was marvellous, just
marvellous. I was actually able to get up in the
morning. It explained why the anti-depressants
weren't working!
You see, at the same
time as my snoring was alternately evicting me
from bed or evicting my wife if she couldn't
rouse me, I was finding it difficult to get up.
The anti-depressants stem from an episode of
depression. All the symptoms of that had gone
except my inability to rouse myself in the
morning. As soon as I tried your MAD, I was able
to get up!
The only problem is
that I've discovered I'm a grinder, so Mrs F
keeps hassling me to buy the next one. I will,
very soon! Just waiting for pay day, in fact.
We are very happy
with it.
My 2 year old
daughter calls her dummy a "ba' ah' " (don't
know why). She calls my MAD "daddy's Ba' ah'
"!!!!

Hi Scott,
Thanks for my Snorers Friend. I had tried sprays,
nasal strips, and even the pillow for around the neck.
None of these worked and the pillow was quite
uncomfortable (for me anyway). I can't thank you
enough for your terrific little invention. It has
changed my life. In just the last three days I have
slept in my own bed with my wife. I had taken to
sleeping downstairs on a fold out sofa.... not great
when I only got married 2 months ago. It was a bit of an
unusual feeling the first night but last night was fine.
I can now go to someone's place and sleep over and not
die from embarrassment. Sincerely Scott you know just
what I am talking about otherwise you would not have
come up with it in the first place.
I apparently still make some sort of heavy breathing
sound but not enough to keep my wife awake. I will try
to fit the second mouth piece and pay even more
attention to the moulding to teeth, just in-case.
I am a qualified graphic artist and should you ever need
my services for design to promote your amazing product,
you have it free of charge. I have done work for all
types of businesses from corporate through to state
government, councils, [rest deleted to preserve

Sincerely Scott I can not thank you enough... and thank
you for the professional way in which you conduct your
business.
Good luck with your sales and I wish you continued
success.
Yours sincerely Glenn

Scott, I
can't thank you enough for your fine product. I just saw
my cardiologist today about my sleep apnea (I also have atrial fibrillation), and I was dreading the cpap
machine. I took my Snorer's Friend with me, and my
doctor was already familiar with it because a partner of
his uses one. I explained to him that since using the
device, my husband tells me that I do not snore much. He
concluded that since I do not snore, my air passages
must be sufficiently open, and since I am also losing a
few pounds, I should be fine. I do not have to use the
cpap machine! Thank you, again, Mrs. Sheila [surname
deleted to preserve anonymity]
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM SCOTT! Using the
Snorer's Friend as a treatment for OSA in Australia is
illegal and potentially dangerous, unless you involve a
doctor. The Snorer's Friend seems to have helped
Shiela quite a bit but that doesn't mean it will help
every OSA sufferer. The medical evidence is that
there will be quite a few OSA sufferers that won't get
any benefit at all. Given that OSA is a very
serious condition you shouldn't take chances with it.
So don't risk it, make an appointment with your doctor
today if you suspect you have OSA. |

2007 Mar 22 - Steve, NSW, Australia
No need to wait 5 days as the device worked like
a charm ! We both had a good nights sleep in a
long time, so I would like to thank you for your
prompt service and support. Having played a lot
of rugby in my youth, fitting your double sided
mouth guard was easy for me. As for side
affects, well no really, the device seems a
little unusual to go to sleep with or slightly
uncomfortable but I am sure that with time I
will get used to it but in any case the
discomfort far far out weighs the benefits two
fold. So again many thanks and I tell as many
others that I can and keep up the good work.

Thank you Scott!
I slept in it last night - great stuff! I only
needed one attempt to mould. My teeth didn't have to
be pushed forward. There was general soreness this
morning, but less than I anticipated.
Over all - it's a great success! I recorded 2 hours
of my sleep and - NOTHING!
and the best thing is - I don't have to use it all
the time, only when I need it! Fantastic!
Thank you, Derek

2007 Feb 2 - Russell, NSW,
Australia
Subject: Small price...huge R.O.I.
Scott,
I don't believe that anyone who either snores or gets
subjected to snoring, could put a price on getting the
problem fixed. To think that some people would go
through painful surgery and all sorts
of alternatives.....when in fact for a pittance, most
sufferers could get bailed out of jail, for what equates
to a mere $30, by buying your device. [Explanatory note
from Scott : Russell is dividing the price in half,
because there are two mouthpieces in each pack.]
To think that before seeing your site, I nearly
purchased a similar unit to yours for around $180 and
would have had the same outcome!!! And then you still
put two of them in the box!!!!
The bottom line is....on night one.....it worked a
treat. Yes, it will still take a little getting used
to....it's like going to sleep with a mouthful of
bubblegum.....but that's academic and it certainly not
uncomfortable. Once you realise that you cannot swallow
the thing....you relax and get on with sleeping.
Gosh...it was great not getting my ribs or kidneys
belted by the co-driver last night. And she slept like
a log. Getting the gadget shaped was dead easy too.
Right now I am off to bed....and hee-hee.........the
co-driver can't run that headache-from-sleep-deprivation
story past me anymore.
Now as for your knighthood, let's get a campaign
started.
Best regards and a humble "Thanks Mate" ....you're a
lifesaver and damn good example of Aussie ingenuity.

Australia
Subject: Aussie of the year
SCOTT BATTERSBY OA
How does that sound.
After months of sleeping in separate
beds, my wife wants to nominate you "Australian of the
year" in recognition of your services to the institution
of marriage and the reintroduction of the morning
"fringe benefit" to waking after a full night's
uninterrupted sleep beside her husband of 40 years. I
only hope I can "keep it up"!
Your amazing little gadget has turned our
lives around and solved a seemingly unsolvable problem.
I only wish I'd found out about it before blowing $600
on Buteyko. The only improvements I could suggest might
be a range of different flavours or a "glow-in-the-dark"
model for reading in bed.
Thanks heaps Scott, mate. You really are
a fair dinkum, true-blue Aussie legend.
Have a great Australia Day,
Pete.

Dear Scott,
I thought I'd tried everything to stop
the dreaded snoring of my husband (doesn't help that I'm
an insomniac), even almost getting sucked in to paying
nearly $2000 for a device - not good on a pension. Now,
after only one night of trial, things are looking good
for our otherwise very happy marriage, as there was
virtually no noise from my darling. How do you do it for
such a price?? Congratulations, and my sincerest thanks.
Maybe in a short while I'll be a zombie no more!

Scott,
The Snorer's Friend has solved my snoring problem. I've
been using it regularly since it arrived over 5 months

2006 September 29 - Bert, TAS,
Australia
Bert suffers from
Obstructive Sleep Apnoea as well as Snoring. He
wanted to see if a Mandibular Advancement Device would
be beneficial for him. So he organised a trial of
the device under the supervision of his sleep physician.
Here is his feedback :
G'day Scott,
I finally got a call from the sleep physician to see him
about the results of the sleep study using the Snorer's
Friend MAD.
From the time that I started using the Snorer's Friend
my wife noticed that I had stopped snoring and as a
result has since returned to our bed. The instruments
during the sleep study emperically confirmed that
snoring had ceased.
My sleep 'events' went from 39.3 per hour in the trial
without the MAD to 10.5 per using the MAD. That is
from moderate/severe to mild. However as it did not
stop the events steps have been made to provide a
professionally made splint. I am still using your MAD
until that has been made and fitted. Your warning about
seeking professional opinion has been borne out, however
if snoring was my only problem then your wonderful
product would have been all that I needed.
Thanks for the spare as I ruined the first blank! You
really are an honest bloke!

2006 August 25 - Norbert, SA,
Australia
Hi Scott
I wasn't optimistic
that this device would work as I am a chronic
snorer; it doesn't seem to matter whether I
sleep on my side, back or front, I'm told I
snore! But my partner tells me this device
actually works!
The first time I
used it she thought I had not fallen asleep
because I had not started snoring as soon as my
head hit the pillow. So she was most pleased
that she did not have to suffer the discomfort
of having to wear ear plugs, as she has had to
do every time we shared a bed.
I tend to fall
asleep very quickly, so I don't find the device
uncomfortable. I find I do wake in the night a
bit more and am aware I have this thing clamped
between my teeth, but I usually drop straight
back to sleep. But then again, I've only used
it three times up to now, so I'm sure I will get
used to it as I use it more. And my jaw was a
bit sore after the first night, but better the
last couple of times.
All in all, it works
fine for me and also for She Who Must Be Obeyed!
I won't have to
claim the money back guarantee and I reckon I
can also avoid the dentist selling me a mega
expensive anti-teeth grinding device as this
will do that job as well!

appreciates it. What a nice guy!

Hi Scott
I am totally amazed - so far so good. I brought the
snorer's friend for my hubby - we have not slept in the
same bed for nearly 10 years. Firstly due to me being an
insomniac and secondly due to my hubby's snoring. Since
receiving your product we have had three consecutive
nights sleeping together successfully. Thank you so
much!

Dear Scott -
Got the package. Here's my report on Snorer's
Friend.
Did my best to fit following your instructions,
and had to do it 3 x
Thanks for sending a spare, because my fit is
still not quite right - probably didn't push the
lower plastic with my tongue quite hard enough,
because the lower teeth have too much "play" and
the lower jaw has a tendency to still move back
a little during the night. Will use the other
one if necessary.
Just have used this one 4 nights, and we are
both sleeping much better.
This a.m. my husband got up and said, " I was
absolutely zonked. Do you realize we both slept
solidly for 9 hours?"

I have been using your product for almost a week
and my husband says that I am not snoring.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I find that I
sleep better and that I can really feel the air
going into my lungs now, not being trapped
somewhere in my throat. I have told others of
this appliance and they seem eager to try it
too. It was not difficult to get used to and as
I use it every night, I find that my jaws are
not sore. I will be using this appliance to a
long time.

Thanks for sending the device so promptly and the extra
one.
It worked very effectively for me. Apparently I am a
very loud snorer and I
made no sound at all last night. In fact my wife
actually felt the need to

Hi Scott,
A note for your feedback section of the website.
I have tried the device, and it works really well.
It takes a little getting used to, but is quite comfortable after a while.
I am still learning not to bite down on it, as I think this was the cause
of my sore jaw in the first few days, but every night is better.
I am still very aware of having something there, but the benefits
far out weigh any short term discomfort.
Good luck with the business, the website's looking great.
Cheers,
Analia

Scott, Astonishing! The Snorers' Friend actually stopped my boyfriend's
snoring! Not quite 100%, but to the point that the little bit of
occasional, quiet snoring was not bothersome. To be honest, I
still don't believe it. It really happened though. I got a good
night"s sleep with nothing to worry about except that he hogged
the blankets, but that's a lot easier to solve than a snoring
problem.
I'll give you more update as time passes. It seems to fix his
problem with mild sleep apnea but, as that is a serious problem,
I'm not about to declare it remedied without a little more
proof.
I've checked out your website. Professional, but funny too. I
like that; snoring can be just too serious.

Hi Scott, Thank you again for the opportunity to road test your device. I
am fresh
back from holidays and yes, I did receive it in time.
I am 50 and have become a regular and sometimes loud snorer in
the past 2
years (coinciding with deteriorating eyesight, if there is any
connection).
I am, otherwise healthy, active and not too overweight. I sleep
well myself
but disturb those around me. I found the mouthpiece works for
me, provided I
do not have too much alcohol beforehand. It is not comfortable,
but I
usually drop off to sleep easily anyway. I tended to remove it
sometime
during the night, by which time my wife was soundly asleep.
Firstly, I misunderstood the instructions and removed the wooden
spatula
when moulding the device to my mouth. The breathing slot became
obstructed
and required a second moulding attempt - all obvious now but the
instructions could perhaps be a little more explicit in that
regard. It was
In terms of comfort, I found the mouthpiece material outside my
mouth can
become a little tacky, so that my lips stick rather than "glide"
over it
when making minor comfort adjustments.
Note that I have not tried any similar mouthpiece devices,
mainly because I
have been unable to source one. This is perhaps the most
encouraging comment
I can make. I am a builder and experienced in tracking down hard
to locate
parts and pieces. I spent several hours before Xmas trying to
buy a cheap
dental splint in Melbourne to take away on holidays, but without
success. I
rang my doctor, dentist, local mouthguard/dental technician guy,
Amcal,
Guardian and an independent pharmacy chain, two sleep clinics
and several
dental supply companies out of the Yellow Pages. I persevered
because I knew
of them from the internet. In spite of that effort, I could not
buy an
"experimental", mouldable, mouthpiece to see if it worked for
me, before
spending a lot more money having something custom made.
Having something custom made is now appropriate but your "boil
and bite"
mouthpiece is still relevant as a back-up and for travelling
etc. I reckon
you have a market with no competition, at least in Melbourne!
Looking for
Hope this is helpful, I am happy to respond further.
